Synthesis of CaCu3Ti4O12 utilizing eggshell waste as a calcium source: Structure, morphology, and dielectric properties

Calcium copper titanate (CaCu3Ti4O12, CCTO) has been synthesized utilizing eggshell waste as a source of calcium through the hydrothermal route, followed by annealing treatment at temperatures 950°C and 1050°C. The sample with 1050°C is named CTO-A CCTO-B, respectively. structure, microstructure, dielectric properties CCTO samples were investigated. X-ray diffraction analysis results confirmed that pure phase successfully identified in pattern. average crystallite size quite large due to high-temperature. morphology electron microscopy investigation showed grains tends agglomerate temperature increases solid-state diffusion. Dielectric property have high constant low frequencies decrease increasing frequency. Sample CCTO-A annealed 950oC higher than CCTO-B 1050oC, otherwise, it lower tangent loss CCTO-B.
